Have you ever had a pet rock! What do you see when you look at a rock?
It doesn’t matter where we look in the world around us and what we feel, there is going to be art to see. Some of us feel that art may only be something that we see at a museum and paint only on the paper or board.
But if you are limiting yourself in that way, you are really missing out on a lot in life. The fact of the matter is, there is art everywhere like in rock, on paper, on the wall, and on many different things.
Japanese artist Akie Nakata (known simply as Akie) turns found stones and rocks into adorable animal paintings you can hold in the palm of your hand. Inspired by the natural shapes of each stone she comes across, Akie chooses the ones she believes already have their own destined characters.
She has been using a rather special canvas for his artwork. Ever since she was a child, Akie loved collecting stones. She always thinks about it and their resemblance.
She started painting rocks after when she found a pebble that resembled a Rabbit that taking a walk across the river bank. After made a painting of Rabbit she considers each character carefully. She spends most of his time thinking about rocks and their resemblance. Then she paints an adorable painting and puts it into the showcase of his house.
But the special in Akie always paint the eye last and paints the pebble as a real Animal.OMG! Really adorable 😍! No animal is left inconsiderable from her pebble portraits.
Though most would say that a stone isn’t a living organism..each stone is a treasure in their own way and that’s what she wants.
In the world many artists there who made many different types of painting look like a natural painting and real. I don’t know about you, but I think Akie’s work is incredible!
