Nature includes a distinctive manner of grabbing everyone’s attention and leaving us amazed. Such an event captured in photographs taken by German photographer Daniel Biber. Seeing those images you’ll directly understand that nature isn’t solely lovely. However, perhaps a marvel that’s around us all the time if we’d take a flash to notice.
What is murmuration?
One such event happened over the Costa Brava, in Northeastern Spain, when a flock of birds began to gather into a shape-shifting cloud, known as a murmuration.
The phenomenon is like an extremely impressive show of coordination. An open sky with hundreds, sometimes thousands or more birds moving and twisting in what feels like a coordinated, single organism that will quickly morph into some unexpected shapes.

Wildlife photographer Daniel Biber witnessed the spectacular event. In less than 10 seconds the starling began to swirl and twist because of a nearby predator like hawk or falcon. It must be almost supernatural. In response to the predator. The cloud of starlings ended up twisting and turning themselves into an enormous, single bird as if to mention to their tormentor.
“we are bigger than you.”

For the last 4 days, he was trying to capture the starling murmuration. However, once he succeeded, it had been a masterpiece. As if his extreme efforts paid him back.
After then he submitted the images to the bird observatory Vogelwarte Sempach photography competition in Switzerland within the year 2017.
His photos win the world photography competition over the 6,800 submitted images from fifteen countries. However, he didn’t understand that he had captured such distinctive shots until later.
“Only once I checked the photographs on the pc later, I noticed what formation the starlings had created,” . “I was so targeting taking pictures at the time. I hadn’t realized that the starling murmuration had created an enormous bird within the sky.”

“It usually happens that birds of prey turn up and the starlings then create bizarre forms. It can be quite erratic and completely random”

“A number of people were watching this display but they were observing it from other spots and might not have seen what I captured”
