Every old temple has some interesting story behind its origin. In a similar way, there is an old temple in Kerala, India. We are talking about the intriguing Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple. If you saw this temple the first time you will be amazed by is decadence and gold plated glory.
But, as I said like every temple this also has a mysterious history which continues till today. This temple has 6 vaults and all are closed for more than 500 years. One shrouded legend making the matters worse. There is a legend that says if anyone opens this vault will meet a disastrous future.
The fear keeps people away from opening the vault until the year 2011. In 2011, Indian Govt. opened 5 of the vaults. They found priceless treasures, piles of gold jewels and gold coins. The worth of the total found treasure was around $100 billion dollars.
But there is still one vault left. Govt is unable to open the last, 6th vault. The enormous steel door of this chamber has two massive cobras painted on it. The door does not have any latches or bolts or anything. People believe it has the biggest treasure in the temple. So, big that it can run India for more than 10 years.
The door can only be only by high-level sadhus with chanting garuda mantra. As nowadays no one possesses the sacred mantra, so till now it’s not opened. And for my readers, I want to note Yes, they tried but able to it by force or machinery.
